Wax

I would love to go to a professional class to learn all the ins and outs of working with encaustic supllies, it is quite high on my wish list. Until then, I just bumble along doing my own thing and so when Leandra told me that wax would be an upcoming theme on their blog, I just knew it would be right up my street. Last night Leandra introduced the theme and tonight, my little wax project is featured, so please click here to hop on over to see how I made it.

Hi Lin, i was very lucky to take a wax class with the fabulous Suze Weinberg. We just used beeswax to fuse our layers. You are right to add layers before adding a layer of wax as you can build up some great collage before adding more delicate mediums.

Suze got us to use magazine images or those printed via a laser printer as you get a better quality of image and the wax goes on easier.

Love your project, wonderful colours.

Thank you for your tweet today it was much appreciated.
