Stevenage

Thank you to everyone who stopped by the PaperArtsy stand at the Stamperama show in Stevenage yesterday. It turned out to be a fabulous show, very busy and buzzing with excitement. So many loyal PaperArtsy followers gathered together, a bit like a family reunion for a good catch up and to see all the amazing new PaperArtsy products, especially the new "Infusions" which Mark and Leandra kept tightly under wraps until the trade show last weekend.

Leandra and I demoed with these tiddly little bottles of gorgeousness pretty much all day. Now you have to bear in mind that they are so new, we are both still learning what we can and can't do with them so a lot of our demos yesterday, were totally experimental. You guys were the best, joining in with our excitement with lots of lovely compliments and suggestions too, which was just fabulous.

The very lovely Emma did a sterling job of manning the make'n'take table where many people sat down to make an Infusions colour chart which everyone loved. So much so, that most of the colours sold out!!!!

Throughout the day, I made many swatches with the fabulous new infusions but failed miserably in actually finishing any of my samples. I promised a few people that I would finish them at home and post here on my blog. A couple of crucial elements went astray somewhere between my demo table yesterday and my studio at home today, so I had to re-make a couple of flower heads but for those of you who saw a pile of bits on my desk, here are a couple of finished samples for you.

The background was created with the new Infusions and Matt Glaze and the focal image was painted with Fresco Finish paints and Matt Glaze.

Same technique for the background on this sample but the the flower heads were painted with Matt Glaze and Infusions.

Because I made these at the show, I don't have step by step photos but I promise I will try and do that for you very soon.

I did so miss being there with everyone and watching your beautiful demos Lin. These two samples are stunning & you say you've yet to use the Infusions to their full potential? ?? Wow I can't imagine what you will have to show us when you have. So glad everyone enjoyed it!

Absolutely gorgeous. I loved watching these demos. I learned so much, particularly your method of starting with the focal image and working the layers from there. Thankyou xxx

Fabulous day Lin.....you could have just had the PA stand there as I came back at least 3 times to watch you and Leandra after the morning's make and take. Loved your demos - I've been playing today with adding Infusions to glazes and even to grunge paste - interesting effect, that one. Hopefully tomorrow I can have a go at some of the stencil work you were doing with them! So much inspiration!
(No idea how you manage to be on your feet all that time!!)

Sorry I've taken a while to get here and comment, but it's lovely to see these gorgeous samples again. Your demos were so inspiring I've played in my journal with my Infusions already! My attempts are also experimental and nothing like as fabulous as what you created last Sunday, but I have blogged about how inspired I was! Thank You so much for all you share. xx
