I think I may have mentioned before that we are beyond excited as we have a special guest for our event in Warrington and I am happy to confirm that it is now all systems go at Artsycrafts HQ to dot all the i's and cross all the t's in order for us to start taking bookings.
ArtsyCrafts October 2011 Dates
October 14, 15 16, 2011 will be at DeVere Daresbury Park, Near Warrington. Our guest tutor will teach here all 3 days, and Lin and I will teach for 2 days as usual.
You can use Liverpool's John Lennon airport or Manchester Airport, both are only 20 mins from this venue. And located only 1 junction from the M6 motorway.
October 22, 23 2011 will be at DeVere Harben House, Newport Pagnell. This is near Milton Keynes, just off Jn14 of the M6, and about 30 mins drive from Luton Airport.
Lin and I alone will teach here, and it will be exactly the same curriculum as taught at Warrington
Those of you who attended the recent spring AC events will already know we have let slip that our Warrington guest tutor is an iconic muse for altered artists who has a unique style that fits beautifully with our ArtsyCrafts events. As an altered artists who works with paint, paper, stamps and more, she has a wealth of experience and it will be a real privilege for you to have the opportunity to be a participant in her classes. We are utterly thrilled that she approached us with the idea of teaching at one of our events. With only 25 spaces per day available in her classes at the Warrington event, we know that these will be snapped up quick as a flash so you will need to keep an eye out for the booking information which should go live on Leandra's website very soon.
Previously at ArtsyCrafts.....
For those of you who missed the May/June (Spring) ArtsyCrafts events....and I know being so close to the Tim Holtz event...many of you did opt to skip it in favour of the October event.... here are 2 wonderful videos that Mark put together at the event showing the projects we made.
Artsycrafts Day 1 June 2011
Artsycrafts Day 2 June 2011
The theme was Fresco Lifestyle with the emphasis on learning how versatile the new PaperArtsy Fresco Chalk Acrylics are as a paint. Specifically designed to work on ALL surfaces, we particularly love how they work so well on metal and even glass or ceramic! These paints have an amazing chalk finish which is an absolute dream to stamp on top of. And the colours are totally on trend and very appealing. We are so thrilled that many established paint artists, many fantastic people from blog-land, and loads of our loyal customers have commented on what a fabulous paint they are, so we hope you too have had a chance to play with them also. The full collection can be viewed on both my website and Leandra's and the exciting thing is that the range will be expanded soon to include a palette of colours suitable for Autumn and Christmas. So get yourself a cuppa tea or a glass of something nicer and take a little look into the world of Artsycrafts, I think you'll agree that it's a whole load of fun.
I know, I know we still have not told you who the mysterious guest artist is......well in true teasing style we are going to keep you guessing a bit longer. If you would like to leave a comment with your guess as to who the guest artist is, all the correct names will be put into a draw next weekend and the lucky winner will recieve their six Fresco Finish paints of their choice. We will then announce who the artist is and the date when booking will commence.

I still have a secret bet with myself that it might be could be Ingrid Dijkers....Well I don't think it will be The Glitter Girls in any case so I have put it in my diary already... just know it will be a Arty Mardi Gras.
Oh dear, you are making this very hard for me. I had decided that I would attend the Newport Pagnell days by hook or by crook & now......... Please let us know asap how much each event is going to cost, so I can start factoring in travel costs. Thank you so much. PS I have no clue who the guest artist is going to be.
I have no clue who the guest will be so I will start some guessing games with my pals. Just wanted to say I am a massive fan of the Fresco paints, I have all the colours despite not being a big spender, and I keep finding new uses for them. I will definitely be getting the new colours and can't wait .....

Well - we had some clues about somebody who hadn't taught over here before and who's been around a while - so could it be Lynne Perrella? She's so good - bit good for me but........... Freema
I had better have a guess even though it's the weekend of my mum's birthday and I probably shouldn't try to get there - if I'm right!! I guess THE Wendy Vecchi. I kind of hope I'm wrong...
Hi Lin - Well my guess is Claudine Mellmuth but I am probably wrong but cant wait to come to Artsycrafts. I love your workshops at your shop so brin on the booking form. Margaret
I'm not sure if I'll be able to join you for the October AC event, but if the mystery guest was someone like...Wendy Vecchi.....that would make it very hard to say no !

My guess is Cheryl Darrow. She does so many things and works with metal and stamps. I would love to attend but alas I am across that giant pond!
It wouldn't be Dina Wakley?
It wouldn't be Dina Wakley?
We will be giving a clue each day to help with the guessing game.....today's clue is.......this very talented artist featured heavily in many Stampington publications including the iconic "True Colours"
After today's clue I think it could be Lynne Perella
Could it be our very own Rachel Emilie Jackson? Chris
Hoping we can have more than one guess! Could it possibly, unbelievably, wonderfully be: Claudine Hellmuth?? She certainly fits the label 'iconic muse'!! here's hoping - although I would love it to be rachel too!! Chris p.s love the videos - you guys really made art!!
I could not comment yesterday for some reason. so hope this works now - I think your guest artist will be Wendy Vecchi and if I am allowed a second guess, maybe Claudine???? Yet another ArtsyCraft I cannot get to boo-boo-hoo!!!!!
Ooh now that changes things....could it be Claudine Hellmuth ? Sue C x
The first thought that went into my mind was someone else and then you added your clue so I'm now thinking it's more possible to be Lynne Perrella.
I know that it's going to be someone really fabulous and erevyone will have the most amazing time, we always do on these events.
Today's clue.....
This lady owned her own stamp company and her beautifully collaged images are easily recognised as hers by their style
Wish I could be there with you...My guess is the wonderful Dina Wakeley!
Well! that last clue has now convinced me to make a third and final - and I'm sure wholly correct-guess!! Absolutely certain now it's ---Lynn K Perrella!! Yippee!! Chris
Tuesday's clue is....
our guest is well known for her striking use of colour, printed papers and 3D ephemera
I know who it is!!!!!!
(mwah ha ha ha)
and she is AWESOME!
Leandra
xx
Mmmm... Wasn't going to have a guess as I am hopeless at guessing but if there's a chance to win some paints... Claudine Hellmuth is my guess but my secret hope is Wendy Vecchi! Is two cheating?!!!
I'm guessing with fingers crossed that it's Teesha Moore.....what an opportunity that would be.
Fiona
Wednesday clue....she has written 5 books about mixed media and has contributed to at least 12 more
I think it could be Lynne Perrella and I need more Fresco paint - I have used at least half a bottle of Honey Dew since the class on Saturday! And - the packaging is inspired, no caps to unscrew - you can open the bottle, dispense the paint and close it again, with one hand.
It says five books on her website so I guess Lynne Perrella.
Margriet
Thursday clue.....our very special and extremely talented guest lives in Columbia County, New York
I'm sure it's Lynne Perrella!
Wooo hoo! ;)
I'm sure its Lynne Perella and if I'm the lucky winner I will share the paint with my favourite sister. (she didn't say that she would share with me in her comment!!)
Andrea.x
I think, from all your clues, that your guest tutor will be Lynne Perrella. What a marvellous treat for your students.
It's not Lynne Perrella is it? Colour....
My guess is Lynn Perella. I do hope so, I lover her work!
I think it is Debbie Tiach,
Lucy x
My guess is Suzie Weinberg.
I saw someone named Lynne Perrella . Now that would be something. I love her style.
Love Leandre's paint too and they work just as well on my furniture for my 1/12 scale dollhouse.
Pat
I've spent ages looking into this, really got the bit between my teeth with the guessing game and I am now positive, final answer, Lynne Perella,
