Beads, beads, beads

I just spent a fun morning with the lovely Karen at a bead show in Daventry. First of all, it is really nice to be on the other side of the counter for a change and now I can kind of understand how my customers feel when the stare at my artwork on display cos today I was doing just that, oggling at the amazing talent and creative ideas of some very experienced beaders.....I loved it!

So this is my pile of stash. The thing with beads is that you can spend a lot of money and still go home with just a small bag!!!!
A little close up of some of my finds.

These are just gorgeous!

So are these!!!

But my best purchases of the day would be my new tools and gadgets. I really needed a new pair of cutters. My good ones got ruined when I took them to work, so I invested in a new pair. My thread zapping gadget....well I wish I had that about a week ago when I was trying the thread some cord through some quite small beads....you just singe the end and it stops it fraying. Then the best buy of the day....my new crimpers......very clever they are too.....can't wait to try out these guys....crimping should be a breeze from now on. And Suze if you are reading this, you would have loved it today and you need to get yourself a pair of these crimping thingies.

Okay, that's me for today, I'm off to roast a chicken!!!

lovin' the beady stash, I used to exhibit at that show a few years back as I inheritated my dad bead buisness, but it became to much for me and my sis to continue so we sold the buisness a couple of years ago just wish I'd kept a few more bits n bobs before we sold as I could have done with quite a few more beads.
