I'm on my way to LA!

Today's post will be the last one for a week as I'm off to LA bright and early tomorrow morning with an over excited Linda Elbourne. It's my yearly buying trip for the shop and of course I get to catch up with all my US friends.

I'll be hot footing it to the Ranger booth to see all the fabulous new product releases......can't wait to see those new Distress Stains! Tim of course will be demonstrating and working his magic with not only the new Ranger products but all his other new lines with Sizzix and his Ideaology range of embellishments. The lovely Wendy Vecchi will also be there, she has new Studio 490 stamps and Art Parts. I'm intrigued by the new colours of Clearly Art too. I've been receiving press releases all week from all the major suppliers, too many to mention and of course if I tell you now, there will not be any surprises for when I get back!!!

I have been continually asked about my Configurations box and so I decided to finally reveal the complete thing. Only problem is my photography. I took these very quickly in the shop this morning with the help of the lovely Karen, doesn't she have nice nails???? Now I've sat down to upload them, the pics are not great and I do not have time to take them again!!

Here's a close up of the top half, followed by the bottom section. Some of the little boxes were turned backwards so that I could stick things to the backs of the boxes, this gave me some inny and some outy boxes, I like the dimension that that creates.

I've got a mini beeswax collage, lots of Tim Holtz Ideaology embellishments, items that I have made from previous make & takes and demos. There's my Ice Resin sample that I made in a class at CHA last year but the crowning glory for me is the crown. I picked it up in a shop in Leeds. It was just a simple wire frame of a crown and I added a few bits and bobs and of course it sits beautifully on the top of my box.

It has been a mad busy week, lots of late nights trying to get everything done before flying out tomorrow. Most of the week has been spent working on the kits for our Artsycrafts event with guest tutor, Tim Holtz in February. This little lot is just a fraction of what Karen, Linda E. and I have been working on.
I mentioned earlier on in the week that we had a few cancellations for this fabulous event, well, can you believe it, we have had a few more now. These poor ladies are devastated at having to cancel but health comes before everything else.....even Tim! If you felt that you had missed the boat for this event, I would hot foot over the the Paperartsy website where you can find out all the details. The dates are 24th & 25th February, hope you can come, it's going to be AMAZING!!
Well, that's all from me. I need to go and pack my suitcase. Although, I will not be blogging whilst I'm away, I will be Twittering so you can still see what I'm up to.
Take care, Lin

Fabulous Configuration! I personally love the shoe...being a shoe person myself. But the crown is definitely fabulous.
