Art Journalling class number 1

Today was my very first Art Journaling class....I think it will be the first of many....everyone was so enthusiastic.....it was a great class to teach. So here we have young Jess and her mum Sue, Sue and birthday girl Mary.....fab way to spend your birthday. Table number two we have the third Sue, Francesca, Fiona and Chris, all hard at work.
Just one or two stencils to choose from!!! Oh and luvverly choccies from birthday girl Mary.....yum, yum!

A small selections of Pitt Pens.

Table number two hard at work on their first pages. Lots of scrummy paint effects.

This one belongs to young Jess.

Birthday girl Mary playing with pastels for the first time.

Great background she made with them.

Some of Sue's work, complete with a door.

Fiona hard at work with some stencils.

Chris applying a wash of gesso over her work to give it a shabby, more muted look......very nice it was too.

And that's all the pictures I took!!! I started out with really good intentions but we got so carried away with the techniques that I forgot to take pictures of the finished pages, so girls if you are reading this, send me some pictures please!!!
We were also discussing upcoming journaling classes. With the next release of classes, I will repeat this class as I know that there were many who couldn't get a place but I will also do Jounaling Page 2 which will be based around other techniques. Then in conversation, I came up with the idea of Journal days. I'm thinking that we may have days where you can come along (you will still need to book) with your journal and stuff that you want to include and we can have play days. It will not be a structured class but I will be there to help and advise....let me know if this is something that you would be interested in.
Okay, I need to go and feed my family. See you tomorrow for WOYWW.

Oh, it looks such fun! And they're wearing white too! Either very brave or they have some good soap powder, lol!

How fun! I love seeing how other people do their art journals--I'm a lot less formal in the way I do it (meaning fewer tools! haha), so mine don't tend to look as good as the pages other people do. So it's fun to look :)

Oh this is painfully cruel - I desperately wanted to go on this course and it sold out 'instantly'. They all look like they had the most fantastic time - as I did when I did a course last year.

I ended up doing an online course - but a different sort of journally - but yours was and is the one I really want to do - even though it's a 250+ mile trip - it's worth it.
