WOYWW.....this is a first for me!!

I have long been an admirer of the cult that is WOYWW and thought what fun it is. I am always pushed for time and it's about time I started using some of my precious time for me, so here this is my very first reveal of a desk that I use at home mainly for beading. Having said that, at the moment, amid all the beads, sits a blank canvas waiting for my attention. When I was in Venice last November I bought some beautiful water coloured bookmarks and thought that they would look fab if I mounted them on one of my painted canvases......of course they are still waiting but I have every intention of getting around to them soon......ahem!!!!! I've heard that phrase somewhere before....me thinks!!!
A close up shot shows a pack of the most gorgeous green beads. It's actually a kit that is supposed to be made up into a bracelet, but my wrist is soooooo tiny, It would look like a set of green golf balls hanging off my wrist, so instead, I will make them into a long necklace.
This is where I store all my findings.....head pins, jump ring, clasps and stuff.
So there we have it, a little peep into my world. Oh by the way, this desk is just the beading one, there's plenty more to show you......I 'll be around to check out some other desks now.
Take care, Lin

Those green beads are gorgeous Lin. I have to keep my beads hidden away or the crazy cat gets into them and they go everywhere! Love those bookmarks, they really will look lovely once they are mounted. Welcome to the WOYWW blogasphere!

Hey Lin....great to see your desk!
What cool bookmarks! I have been buying beads and buttons recently.
I did actually make a necklace as soon as I got home with some of them but I think the others may sit for a while. I saw a lovely necklace with felt flowers and buttons on some suede yesterday and I really want to do this next.

Hey Lin, nice to see you at WOYWW -we've met....my blog is named after my old shop. Amazed that you have time to bead anywhere (I mean, do you ever actually go home??). The bookmarks are gorgeous - send them to me, I will do something with them straight away. Really. My reputation for procrastination is totally unfounded.

Ooo lovethose bookmarks and what a fab way to show them off. You've just inspired me to do something similar with some vintage 50's ones I have of venice.
And you know those beads look like they match those bookmarks, they'd make a lovely embellie to the canvas.
