WOYWW

My desk this week is actually the table in the conservatory, the reason for this is that my desk in my little craft room is all spic and span, not a sausage on it...reason for this.....new windows! How I love my new windows. I am now extremely poor but they are worth every penny.....no more painting the outside of the house.....no more painting of windows on the inside for that matter, they are ultra clean, ultra sparkly and fitted by two very nice young men who worked at the speed of light even in this heat. Enough about my windows....back to the desk. This is a work in progress, it's the next page in my journal and the table bears stuff that may well end up inside said journal.

At the shop yesterday, my friendly UPS delivery guy delivered two humungous boxes of all sorts of scrummy, messy stuff. Not new to the market items but new to me. I have Eco Friendly paint and cosmic shimmer sprays, so I brought home just one or test to test them out in my journal, well it would be rude not to be able to tell my customers all the nitty gritty about a product wouldn't it?
Then here is some of the fabric that I sprayed last week, it's all dry now so I'll be able to use it. I have to admit I was a tad heavy handed with the sprays and they took an age to dry. I did dry some with the heat gun but of course they are a bit puckered now, never mind, that's a different effect.

Here's a little looksee inside my pen box......full of my favourite Faber Castell Pitt pens....yum, yum.

A pile of alphabet stamps....a girl can never have too many alphabet sets!

Oh, and finally, this is also sitting on the table waiting to be slathered in paint, metal and who knows what. I'll show you when I've finished it.

Well, that's it for me today. If you want to join in all the fun of WOYWW but don't know how, click here to be transported over to Julia's blog where all will be explained.
Have a fun day, Lin x

My idea of abolute heaven would be to be transported to your desk today, to play with all your goodies - and yes - I do totally agree - for all your hard work - you surely do deserve some perks - and having one of everything you sell to try out for research purposes of course - is very very understandle and totally imperative I would say!

Oh, what a gorgeous pile of stash to rummage through!! I've just got some of those paints (arrived today at work so not on my WOYWW yet, lol) if I'd known you were stocking them, I'd have come to you - well, next time - I'm bound to want some more..
When I had my windows done I had one guy did it all on his own as his sidekick had called in sick - I couldn't believe it, but he did the lot!

ooo gorgeous drawers and handles...

we used to have dark wood windoww frames, loved them but didnt love the stripping and varnishing, so now we have shiny white plastic. Takes a bit of getting use to but so much less work.

Hi Lin
Thanks for stopping by my blog today - so envious of all your new stash - hope to see the results of your playing (sorry serious product analysis !!) in October ! On the art journal front- will you stick the fabric page to a paper page - if so with what ? Or will it be sort of "free standing" ? have massive cupboard of fabric from my quilting days but not sure how to stick it without it showing through in horrid lumps !!

Loved the snoop and rummage on your desk Lin. Always nice to see how others create. Those fabrics look interesting and I am wondering how you are going to use them. TFS. ~Glen~

Happy new windows! I have some that Eco Friendly paint and frankly, can't fault it and the colours are fab. The journal is looking fab, love the colours. And I love a draw with an outsized knob. I do.

Lots of lubberly, lubberly stuff on here. I noticed the little drawers straight away. Hmmmm, I think I might have a bit of an obsession with teeny drawers! I'm collecting quite a few sets myself.

Love the stuff going into your journal too and the sprayed fabrics are quite lush.
