Third and final episode

So this is the third and final episode of my Venetian adventure and at the risk of boring you to tears with my holiday snaps, I just wanted to share a few more of my interesting, funny and expensive moments!!!

This is the Basilica San Marco on a beautiful day, complete with one of the famous lamp posts in the foreground.

I was blown away by the architecture in Venice and am now completely obsessed by doors. We took hundreds of photos of doors, hence the picture below......how amazing is this door?

And this hinge was even more amazing!!

This is why people, and when I say people, I mean me, get lost in Venice!!!

They don't warn you that this bell actually "dongs" in real life. I jumped two feet in the air and Mark had to scrape me off the ceiling!!! Boy, was that loud!!!

Here I am a happy girl on the island of Murano. Not a great picture of me, but I had to prove that I had been to Murano and I'm clutching my Murano purchases!!! Look, no coat either!!!

Here's a few piccies of some of my other venetian purchases. This glass pen and silver nib is exquisite, I know it's pink, but I don't care, that's how much I love it!!

I also got some of the finest marbled paper I have ever seen, the photo does not do this justice, the gold running through it is simply gorgeous.

Then theres my liquorice allsort necklace. I think Mark thought I had lost the plot completely when I bought this. It's a mix of felt and Murano glass....I love it!!!
So I have been back at work, teaching my socks off this last week and preparing to go and teach the arch class in Holland, so life is still as hectic as ever. Leandra and I are just putting the finishing touches to the details for our Arstycrafts events, a few changes have had to be made to our original dates as Sarah's wedding is at the end of March!!!! Hopefully, we will be in a position to release the details when I get back from Holland.

That pen is just beautiful, If you decide you can't live with pink, I'll take it off your hands, no question!!

Venice is one of my favourite places (you will not believe it if I say I have been 14 times but it is true) and I too am obsessed by doors.
Loved following your journey.
