I've been to prison!!!

Well, first day of the sale was over on Saturday. Stock taking was done and dusted on Monday and boy was it cold in the shop on those days!!!! When the shop hasn't been open for a few days, it seems to take ages to get warm as it is an old stone building. All of this stuff out of the way, it was time for my surprise trip. Mark had been teasing me about where he was taking me for weeks. I tried to bribe him no end of times to tell me where he was taking me but he has a will of steel....no faltering....no slip of the tongue....in fact not a clue!!

First of all it was a quick trip to Westfield which is a fab new, humungous shopping centre at White City, I had wanted to go and see what it was like as Mark had installed quite a lot of hi-tech equipment in some of the new stores there. He had told me how huge this place was and I must admit, it was all a bit much for me.....I love shopping but this puts shopping on another level. Actually, three levels in total!!!

After the shopping spree, I was chauffeur driven to Oxford for a brief spell in prison!! Yes, I did say prison and what a wonderful experience it was. The prison in Oxford has been converted into a luxury hotel so I actually spent the night in a prison cell. It was amazing, I would recommend it to anyone, the attention to detail in this place is unbelievable. The door to our room was still the original cell door, restored of course and the room was so tastefully decorated. The windows are still the original tiny little things right up by the ceiling and they have these cute little wooden shutters instead of curtains. It was probably the coldest night of the year last night but it was so cosy and warm in my lovely cell!!!I could go on and on about this forever but I do just have to say that the bathrooms in this hotel are to die for!!!

Here I am trying to break into my cell!!!!

Check out this amazing chair which we found in the hotel lobby!

Finally, as it is New Years Eve, I would like to thank each and every one of you for your continued support this year. It has been a difficult year for many and so I would like to wish everyone a very Happy, healthy and prosperous New Year.

wow, how fun! If you liked that one, you should visit Liberty Hotel in Boston. Same idea - used to be the Charles Street Jail.
