I thought I would share a couple of my recent makes with you. The first one was actually a kit that I purchased from Jane Davies at the NEC. It was a nice and easy kit with instructions that were clear and easy to follow. I have changed it up a bit and added some of my own embellishments but I really like the style and the colours.

The second project is another piece that I made for my newly decorated bedroom.

It's a collage of stuff on a burlap canvas. I really like the open texture of burlap and with many, many layers of stencilling, painting and stamping I am finally happy with it. It was one of those projects that whatever I used, I hated!!! In the end, I painted over most of it with Stone and Antarctic Fresco paint and selected some stencils with more delicate designs as my background was in competition with those flowers.

If you look real close, you will see some of Ellen Vargo and Sara Naumann's new stamps, I'm loving these new releases, I'm pretty sure that I will be using them a lot!!

Well, that's me for today. Two blog posts in two days....woo hoo!!! Wonder how long it will be before my next post lol ??????

Hello Lin,
The material wall hanging looks gorgeous, love all the stitching and the design. Te burlap piece is just amazing; it is soft and quiet perfect for a bedroom. I know how you feel when something won't come together...perseverance is a wonderful asset.

I visited this lady's stand at Aintree Race course the last time time it was on, i wasn't into textiles as much then and didn't pay too much attention.

Fortunately i have found a lovely lady who is closer and does similar but very different techniques. I am attending a workshop with her in October.

Such beautiful textile creations as always Lin,great colours, lovely embellishments and a great size. Love the canvas also :-) xxx
