Enjoying the week

I really didn't expect to become an Olympics addict and can't quite believe just how much of it I've watched. I have always loved the swimming as I used to swim competitively as a teenager and I've always been amazed at the skill the gymnasts show but I would never have imagined that I would be gripped by the cycling, the rowing, the hockey and athletics. My nerves are completely shot, sitting on the edge of my seat, peeking at the screen from behind a cushion because I just can't stand the suspense. Team GB have done us proud and one of gold medal winners, Greg Rutherford is a Milton Keynes lad and actually went to the same school as my son. Milton Keynes are now the proud owners of two gold post boxes in honour of Greg.

Milton Keynes also has it's very own beach in the shopping centre at the moment, so I joined my daughters with three of my babies for a morning at the beach. There is also a big screen there for a spot of Olympic watching, somewhere to get coffee......what a nice way to spend a morning.

These three little people certainly had a good time whilst their older brother/cousin was in the Olympic stadium with his Daddy watching the athletics.

I've managed some creative time this week too. I've made a few samples for Leandra to take to the show at Stevenage this weekend as I'm not going to be there this time around. Leandra will have a stand full of all the brand new PaperArtsy goodies and of course she will be working her magic at her demonstration table so if your going to the show, stop by and say hello.

Today I've been playing with all things Melt Art. By special request, I've been working on a new Melt Art class project which has been a lot of fun. It's not quite finished yet but I had forgotten just how much I love Beeswax and UTEE.
I'll be sure to show you the finished piece and will let you know when the class places are available to book.

That's me for today, I'm off to see if we've won any more medals.......we've already accumulated quite a stash today........Team GB are amazing!

Absolutely lovely work Lin. Don't know if my Dad's pulling my leg but tells me crafting used to be in the Olympics, if it was we would definitely have you in team GB for another gold post box in MK!

Brill samples, delightful little ones and you summed up perfectly just how I feel about the Olympics too,I'm not normally much of a TV viewer and I'm quite shocked how much I've watched and cheered... hasn't it been amazing?
