I feel that I've been a bad blogger of late, so much going on both at work and at home. Our classes went on sale on Saturday and of course an enormous amount of work goes into the preparation for that. The phone goes into meltdown mode on class release day for which I thank you guys, you're the best. The website has been updated with all the sold out classes but there are still a few spaces here and there so check out the website for all the latest details.
Now that LBC classes are ticked off my list, we are now in full swing Artsycrafts mode. Kits are pretty much organised, stock to sell at the event is pretty much organised, just got equipment for our lovely Artsycrafters to sort out. Have I mentioned that I love these projects????? Maybe once or twice and at the risk of boring you to tears, I'd just like to say, I think these are the best projects we've done so far.....there are still a few places left too....it's not too late to book!
The studio is near completion and I've been decorating a few storage items and decorative pieces to make it look less new and clinical. My latest little project was a blank wooden "Home" thingy. First it got the paint treatment with Claudine Hellmuth's Classic Teal Studio paint. When dry, I dry brushed some Traditional Tan over the top for a shabby look. I decided to keep this piece relatively simple......time is of the essence at the moment.......and so I simply added some of Tim Holtz Idea-ology bits and bobs along with some gingham ribbon. I've dome a few close up shots of each letter so you can see the detail a little better.

It's lovely. I like how you tied the ribbon around the 'h'. I was ready to book my place on the workshops until I tried to plan the journey to Olney. I'm reliant on public transport & it has proved that it will be impossible for me to get from MK Central to you, unless I get a taxi, which I can't afford. It's very disappointing.
I love that HOME!! I can't wait to see what else you do for the new studio, it will be sooooo gorgeous! Wish we could all come play.
arghhh, don't do it to me,
Liz is not in a situation to come to artsy crafts, and I auto allocated the money to another project instead, I fully expected you to be totally sold out by now...
PS. you are not a bad blogger, you are a busy business women - when you do blog it is delightful.
Love it!
gorgeous work! well done! ,)
