Hello

Good morning all, I survived day one of the L.B.Crafts sale and here we go again for day two! Just a quick pic to give you a taste of what's on sale.

We always have a winter sale for a number of reasons......first of all, it is L.B.Crafts end of year and I have to do a stock take.....which is definitely not my favourite pastime......so the more we can sell from the shop, the less I have to count!!!! Also, I'm off to LA at the end of January on my annual shopping spree and unless I make some room in this here jam packed shoppe, I'll struggle to fit anything else here!!!

I have had quite a few emails asking if the sale applies to online purchases, well the short answer to that is "no". Most of the items on our website are not included in the sale and for us to upload images of everything that is in the sale would be a real waste of time as we would not be able to update the site fast enough as the items sell out in the shop. Having said that, when the rush has died down, Linda E., my trusty webmaster extraordinaire, will be feeding items into the bargain basement on the website next week, so you will not miss out entirely.

For those curious people who wanted to know about Karen's special birthday treat, you already know that we went to London for the day, well a lovely day we had too. We started out in Covent Garden, had a lovely, lovely lunch......chatted about everything under the sun and at this point we told Karen that we had planned a shopping day out and that we were taking her to see Grease at the Picadilly theatre. She immediately had to text her daughter Charlotte, who I think was more curious about where she was going that Karen herself.

We headed for Tottenham Court Road and spent a lovely hour mooching around Paperchase, drooling over all the gorgeous journals and paper and then wandered up Oxford Street. To say it was busy would be an understatement in the extreme.....you've never seen so many people and most of them were queueing for the loo in Debenhams!!!!!

Once we were all shopped out, we headed to Picadilly where we had a VERY NICE dinner followed by the best chocolate and white chocolate brownie I've ever had!!! We walked across the road to the theatre, collected our tickets and headed up to the bar for a little drinky poo before the start of the show. I've never seen wine measured out in little metal measuring cups and then poured into a plastic beaker, the cup was soooo huge it looked like there was only a dribble of wine in it......we saw the funny side of it though!!!! We took pour seats and thoroughly enjoyed the show, so I think Karen had a lovely day but we were certainly all worn out.
Finally, I thought I would share a little sneaky peek of my Tim Holtz Configuration box that I made on Boxing Day.

Have a fun day, Lin

Sounds like a lovely - if very tiring - day out! I am surprised you had the energy for the sale in the shop.... wish I could get there to spend some money (that I don't really have) - maybe another time..

Hi Linda

It was lovely to see you and chat in the shop today.

If your configuration sneak peek is from the one that's on display in the shop then it's absolutely stunning - daughter couldn't believe that the "boring grey cardboard box thingy" could be transformed into something so "awesome!".

It was worth the hour and a half journey to Olney just to be reminded of the fabulous artwork on show. I have promised myself that I WILL attend one of your workshops in 2011. And I am definitely going to have a go at one of those polymer clay plaques/scrolls that we discussed today.

Many thanks for all your inspiration.
