WOYWW

This is the mess left on my desk today. It's the aftermath of trying to finish a class sample that a started a while ago. I really needed to get it finished today as soon I will be working on Artsycrafts stuff and my own classes needed to be done and dusted before starting on AC. It was one of those days when things didn't run as smoothly as I would have liked. I was interrupted by a phone call by someone trying to sell me advertising space. Normally, I am very polite and say "no thank you" in my nicest telephone voice until they get the message. Well, this wasn't working on Mr Nasty, I have never encountered a more obnoxious and rude man EVER! He was really intimidating and shouted down the phone at me......leaving me incensed but even worse than that, put a halt on the creative juices......he has a lot to answer for!!

Anyway, I finally got it finished....or so I thought!
Close up of the end that I was really happy with.

Close up of the not so happy side. It's the heart that kept bugging me....I really didn't like it.

So here's version 2 of the heart.......I like it a whole lot more now!

Now I need to tidy up the mess, so I'll be around to see your desk tonight. If you would like to join in the fun of WOYWW, click here to pop over to Julia's blog to join in the snooping.

I love this - before and after! My home phone is broken at the moment, so no-one can ring me, rude or polite people alike!

I used to so hate those phone calls when I had the shop, and they never got the message and always called back ten more times. Well whoever it was did not spoil your creativity as your artwork is absolutely fantastic. The attention to detail is superb. Tracy Evans x

wow this is just gorgeous!!

You should have told him to hang on while you got your details together, and then just left him hanging.

I love this it is gorgeous, I am going to have to have a go with metal. And I just used to put the phone down on cold callers, I felt bad the first few times but it was the only way.

Darcy is right - if i get to be at home I answer the phone and sometimes it is to sales people - say just nothing at ALL,
if you put the phone down onto the table you can hear when they hang up - waste their time not yours,

your sample is very beautiful and heart v2 looks great.

WAY to go.....a messy desk! Everywhere I have been today has been tidy! I was begining to feel very inferior lol!
Your piece is (in one word) STUNNING ...(even the bit you are not happy with)...

I never answer the landline if I don't recognise the callers number for that very reason. I got so fed up of rude, rude, rude cold callers. How they think they will sell stuff that way I don't know.

I loved the bofore on your project but seeing what you did to the heart I do love it even more afterwards. Wow! Gorgeous.

Very, very cool. Awesome work. Isn't it comforting that creativity doesn't necessarily require a tidy desk?

Know what you mean about the obnoxious phone callers. Why on earth does no one get the message until we get nasty back these days?

You still managed to produce a masterpiece for us to look at though and this one is totally stunning!

As for the untidy desk? Hmmm,'Nuff said!!!

Julia Dunnit said...

Being late to visit your WOYWW post gave me the chane to browse more slowly - love the art journal class pics - what a creative bunch o' gals. Best part of your desk is the Starburst - keeps your concentration oiled - specially when nasty reps ring..man, I hate aggresive salesmen.
Couldn't see what on earth could be wrong with the heart, but have to admit to liking the second one more...that's your skill see.
