I've got a new chest!

Do you like my new chest? No, I have not had breast implants!!......I just decorated a new little set of chest of drawers. I had this idea that I could make little metal trims and corners with Tim Holtz "On The Edge" dies and yep, it worked a treat!!!! I'm really pleased with how it turned out.

I used some of the new Eco Friendly paint, base coated with Pomegranate and then Green Patina over the top....not my usual colour combo but I'm really liking it with Bronzed God metal
from Ten Seconds Studio . I'm still using Tim Holtz Tissue Tape on everything.....it just seems to work on everything...I'm guessing because the colours are so neutral.

Please don't laugh.....I can't stand it up to photograph.......my knobs are not fixed on yet!!!! Can't decide whether to just glue them or take it home and get Mark to drill holes for me so that I can screw them on.
Here's a close up of my little corner protectors.

And a closer shot of each of my drawers.

I think I've just decided that I've got one finishing touch to do before fixing my knobs....I need to alcohol ink my white knobs cos they are definitely way too white at the moment.
Enjoy the rest of the weekend. Mark and I are taking Ronnie and Mills to see Toy Story 3 tomorrow, I wonder who will enjoy it most....the children or Mark......me thinks it could be Mark!!

just fab. Screw the knobs on. Can you imagine if they came off after all that hard work?

What fun ! Why spend money on a boob job when there is craft stuff to buy ! The ammount I have in my stash I think I could have transplanted a whole new me though ! Looking forward to see the chest finished ! I'm with the screw the knobs on brigade - much more permanent especially if the DH will do the drilling !!

another vote for screwing the knobs here, much more secure. Brilliant idea to use the on the edge dies with the metal!

Its wonderful and am sure you enjoyed every minute of it. I go with screwing the knobs on as well as it would be a shame if they dropped off after all your hard work. Annette x

Oh Lin, this post really did make me laugh out loud! I thought it was so good I had to read it out to Dave.
Your ideas for your chest (here I go now) are fab - I would never have thought of using On the Edge with metal, or on the drawers like that! Thanks for the inspiration
