Yikes!!!!.......it's pink and pretty!!!

I sure have got the journaling bug......I've got tons of ideas buzzing around my head and all I want to do is get them in my journal.......sadly I have to work.......actually, I am supposed to be working now but it's quiet in the shop this afternoon, I'm guessing everyone is at home watching that amazing tennis match at Wimbledon!!!!!! So here I am sharing the latest pages with you guys. I know, you are going to be a bit shocked that it's pink and pretty......I was actually aiming for shabby and vintage but hey ho!!! This page is all about my favourite flowers.....hence the pink page. Well, I need some excuse but that's a bit feeble really as my favourite flower is the poppy, so my page should really be red and covered in poppies.

There's all sorts of stuff going on on this page. I've got some fabric pasted to my page as a background and some shimmery fabric and papers that I sprayed myself. A metal embellishment, lace, ribbon. fabric tape.....all sorts of yummy stuff.
I also have a whopping great big bubble right in the middle of my tissue paper and homemade glazed collage......rats!!! I was really pleased with the results, I just dropped a drop or two of re-inker in some matt medium to make a tinted glaze.....very subtle.....very in-keeping with my pages but a stinking great bubble non the less. I'll tell myself what I tell my students.....it adds to the charm!!!

I can promise that the next pages, which I've already started are going to be waaaaay more colourful.....brace yourselves......you might need your sunglasses!!
Take care, Lin

Wow that is a bit pink for you! Might have to sneak a peek tomorrow if you have it in the shop :) Love the idea of doing top 10's as I'm hopeless at feelings on a page. Also a great thing to look back on or to pass on (I'm a family history buff too!!)
