CHA Episode 2

I'm feeling a bit more human now that I have had some decent sleep. I was really thrown in at the deep end as the day after I got back from LA, it was my daughter, Sarah's 30th birthday party. This is Chris, Sarah's husband -to-be getting in practise for his wedding speech. He was explaining that this is Sarah's last birthday as Sarah Brown and that next year she would be Mrs Houghton! He doesn't like standing next to my son Alex though as Alex is 6' 3" and towers over everyone we know!
As you can probably tell, Alex hates having his picture taken and he's gonna kill me if he finds out I've posted this on my blog!!

This was a very moving moment. Kelly had made a scrapbook of Sarah's life and gave it to her after the birthday cake moment. As young children Kelly and Sarah really did not see eye to eye at all. Now, as young adults, they love each other to bits, they are best friends and call each other at least two or three times a day!! In my wildest dreams, I would never have imagined that their love for each other would have grown into what it is now. I am so proud of all three of them.

Okay, mushy stuff over....back to CHA! Here are a few more submissions to the Ranger designer challenge.

How cool is this flower wreath...all grungepaper flowers...simply beautiful!

These are some of the fabulous pieces on show at the Objects and Elements booth....home of Ice Resin.....have I mentioned that I am very excited by this product?

My lovely friend in art, Linda Cain, gave me this gorgeous gift. It is a paper mache book box that she covered with all the stuff I love....thank you Linda, I love it.
Finally, as I mentioned in my last post, I took a class with Ingrid Dijkers....this is my first attempt at a page for an art journal.........this is going to be so addictive, I found it so relaxing, I just got lost in the whole experience!
Take care everyone, Lin x
