AP...It's over now....until next time!

WOW! What a show, thank you so much to everyone who stopped by my booth at Ally Pally, I am bowled over by the response. It was an amazing show for us, all the Archies have flown away to their brand new homes and nearly all the B Line necklaces too....actually, I have a few of those left so keep checking back here to find out how you could become the lucky owner of one of these gorgeous, limited edition beauties. I think Leandra may also be cooking up something with a couple more Archies, so you may need to keep checking her blog too. This was the perch were the Archies used to roost!!!
I had every intention of blogging on Saturday and Sunday night with a progress report on the show but I was just soooooo exhausted, I just couldn't manage it. On Saturday, I didn't stop demoing all day, it was 4.50pm before I managed to get something to eat.....not exactly good for you, so on Sunday both Leandra and I made sure that we both got to eat lunch at a sensible time. I had also intended to take loads of photos to share with you but we were so busy, I only managed a few...I hope you enjoy them.
I was such a lucky girl, one of my long standing customers came to the show bearing the most gorgeous gift for me. I had admired her bracelet at a previous show and because I had always given her a sample of my work, she came to the show bearing a gift for me.....yep, a bracelet, in a tin all decorated by hand with scrummy paint and stuff. I haven't found the tin yet, I packed it away in with my demo kit. So Pearl, thank you so much, it was such a generous and thoughtful gift, I'm truly thrilled.

The gifts didn't stop there, another customer came bearing a gift of some wonderful paper...just for me....all rolled up and tied with beautiful ribbon and a thank you tag....how lucky am I? Thank you so much Georgie, the paper is fabulous.

I feel so lucky to have had so many great new products to play with at the show. Leandra's new clock range of stamps are a dream to work with, the B Line designs were as stunning as usual, all the scrummy paint and the new colour Glimmer Mists.....how lucky can a girl get?

Leandra and I made a ton of samples over the two days of the show. I gave away the majority of them but kept back a few to share with you, so here's what I was up to. These two tags were made with some of the most gorgeous new designs from B Line and my new favourite ink pad combination, Nick Bantock's Damson Plum and Distress Scattered straw, of course they have glimmer mist on them too, I think I used one of the new ones called Pashmina...just scrummy.

The first tag has a plum metal dragonfly that I cut in my Cuttlebug but using a Spellbinders die. Then I used my white Viva alcohol ink mixed with Sunset Orange and Oregano alcohol ink by Ranger, to colour it....that white ink is fantastic. And before you all start screaming at me " I can't find it on the website" that would be because most of this stuff hasn't made it's way to the website yet as basically, I have no clue how to do it. I rely heavily on Mark and he, poor man, has been a tad busy recently with his own demanding job and cutting out wooden arches for the show...which of course we sold out of in like 30 seconds flat!!!
The second tag uses all the same ink pads but this time, I added a copper clock, one of the Paperartsy images. All other images are B Line.
Then I got carried away with paint. Viva Precious Metal paint, Ferro and Terra.....now these are on the website!!! I was using some chipboard shapes as my base, I needed something sturdy to hold the thick layers of paint. Next I embossed some copper metal, using one of the TSS molds, stuck that to the chipboad and started layering up all three types of paint. The Terra was dabbed on with my finger to get a lumpy, bumpy look. The Ferro was a smoother finish so that I could stamp into it and finally the precious metal was dabbed over the top of everything to blend it all together. Oh, nearly forgot....all finished off with a touch of Glimmer Mist....even the metal embellishments got glimmered!
There's no denying that the weekend was really hard work, but Leandra and I always have such a fun time demoing together, we meet so many people over the two days that we talk to over the phone and by email, it's great to actually put faces to the names.

I can't believe how many samples Leandra made...she was definitely a busy girl and she fell in love with the new Marshmallow Glimmer Mist. I think she sprayed it on everything, including a little girl!!! Anyway, here's a couple of pictures of some of Leandra's beautiful work...she's one talented lady for sure.

I'm off to catch up on some sleep.

Karen and I had such a great time on Sunday, watching you work your magic. Thank you again so much for the beautiful sample. When I find my desk(!)I shall look to it for inspiration. I should think you need a holiday now to recover.
