I had some of those giant cotton reels left over from a previous project and although I have used them before in this way, I haven't used them with the chipboard shapes (Eclecta range - PaperArtsy) that match my stamps. I love things that are really versatile and try to use a product in as many different ways as I can so although none of my techniques used here are new, the addition of the half cotton reel, really changes things up.
Here's a few close ups for you.
I will take it with me to Ally Pally next week, so if you would like a close up look, I will be with Mark and Leandra on the PaperArtsy stand on Saturday only. The colours in real life are much better than these pics show, it was such a wet and dreary day today, photographs were never going to be fantastic.

It looks fab, very interesting idea.
It looks amazing, Lin - will be lovely to see it - and you of course!! - next Saturday! I have a shopping list... bet that surprised you... The flowers look fantastic - the blue-y one looks like a china plate, just beautiful.
WOW looks fabulous, pity I'm not going to get to see it IRL though!!
Just love how your flowers don't look like flowers, they always have a bit of something different in them.
Great use of the cotton reel too.
You're not on your own, been dark, wet and gloomy here today too, but nothing like a good make to cheer us all up!!!
