Lynne Perrella

There has been a  pile of brand new Lynne Perrella stamps by Paperartsy sitting on my desk, calling me for some time and I have only just managed to find the time to get some ink on them. There are so many in this new release that I love, I couldn't decide which one to use so I used nearly all of them!!!!

I covered my wooden frame with Tim Holtz Tissue Wrap and painted it with Hey Pesto Fresco Finish paint. All the images were stamped on to tissue paper with Ranger Black Archival ink which I heat set before I  painted them with Fresco Finish paints. I selected some of the translucent colours so that I didn't have to water them down too much. When working on tissue paper, it's best to try and not completely saturate the paper as it is very delicate. I also like to leave the paint to dry naturally if possible as the tissue paper curls and wrinkles quite a bit if you use a heat gun on the wet paint. Once dry, I used Claudine Hellmuth's Matt Medium to stick all the images and embellishments in place. I always use this as it completely disappears and has great sticking power.

Here's a couple of closer shots, I think you'll agree these images are amazing, that's why I couldn't choose just one!!

That's me for tonight, I've got an apple and custard danish pastry waiting for me in the kitchen so that where I'm heading!

Sorry, something went wrong with the first comment! I love the look of all those stamps, and the finished piece is fabulous. Like the sound of the pastry too!!!

It looks great, you're not going to make us spot which stamps you haven't used? Could we do a min9 one in class??

I adore Lynne Perrella so this piece caught my eye immediately. I love how you've used almost a full set on your piece - it works perfectly.Love the verdigris type colour mixed with the browns too. Your embellishments finish it off so beautifully. Can you tell I love this?!
