I've got the bug!

If you read my last blog post, you will know that I was a lucky, lucky girl last weekend and was able to take part in two classes by Anna Dabrowska (also known as Finn). I have been so excited by the techniques that Anna generously shared with us that I have had another play and made another piece.

I wanted to try something a little different for this piece, I had it in my head that a real shabby look would look great with my black & white photograph so this time, once everything was glued down and dry. I painted over all my embellishments with a Paperartsy Honey Dew Fresco Finish paint that I had watered down. when this was dry, I sprayed Crafty Notions Walnut and Bluebell sprays (these one do not contain mica) and just loved the result. I'll leave you with a few close up shots as I really should be preparing dinner for tonight!

Oops, just seen that one of the spinners on my work is wonky....I'll fix that after dinner tonight!

A beautiful piece, Lin!
I was fortunate to be able to take 2 xclasses with Anna when she whirled through Vancouver, BC, Canada last month. Amazing that we were able to take her classes in completeley different countries!I just loved Anna and have been making more pieces ever since. I love how the spray step creates miracles, esp. the black.
Glad to see you're enjoying it too.
