I painted my canvas board with blend of Banana, Tangerine Twist and Bougainvillea, three of the colours from my new set of Limited Edition Fresco Finish paint. I used Caribbean Sea to to stencil a flower from PS013 along with stamping some of Ellen Vargo's chunky and sketchy hand carved images. I love the contrast between the thick and skinny lines, it makes it so interesting. Lately, I have been using Snowflake to add accents to my work. I love the sharp contrast of the white against the bright background.
In this close up you can see how I added little dots of coloured paint over the top of the Snowflake dots. I thought black would also look quite cool but this time, I used ink instead of paint as I wanted the images to be really sharp.
I used one of those mini canvases for the base of my focal point, painted with Banana and Tangerine Twist and dry brushed with Snowflake and Caribbean Sea. I added a touch of washi tape and stencilling for interest.
Detail stamped over the top with Jet Black Archival ink.
I also made a Caribbean Sea house as I like to cut them up and "mix'n'match" them. It really changes the way the house looks.
I also added a few charms for the finishing touches. The ones hanging underneath the mini canvas have been painted with Caribbean Sea and have had the Treasure Gold treatment with a touch of Classic TG.
I know that a lot of my followers have said in the past that they feel a project like this is unachievable for them so I hope by breaking it down and explaining the process, you can see that it is in fact not at all difficult and that you will try it for yourself.
Have a great weekend,
Lin x

Love the color combination! The "mixandmatch" idea is just the inspiration I needed!
