I've spent the last few days preparing class kits, which is not my favourite pastime at all but whilst I was hunting for something in my extraordinarily untidy studio, I came across a canvas that I had used for a bit of an experiment. It wasn't anything mind blowing, it had been a bit of a practise to see how well I could combine the fabulous texture of Grunge Paste and Dreamweaver's Crackle Embossing Paste. It seemed a shame to put it back under the pile of junk so I decided to use it as a base for all sorts of odds and ends that were gathering on my desk. There were pre-stamped images, die cuts, Crunchy Paper flowers....all manner of little gems that had previously been destined for other projects but never made it to the final piece. I have to say, it's a really nice feeling recycling stuff!
Here's a close up shot of the Crackle and Grunge Paste.
It's not all recycled stuff, there are a few new bits and pieces too.
I bet you guys have got a heap of odds and ends that would love to be recycled too....let me know what you come up with.

This is so beautiful. I can't stop looking at it! That Lynne Perrella lady is one of my favourites. I am about to start on a group of three canvases for my mum's spare room and this has been a huge inspiration. You are so imaginative with your creations. Julie Ann xxx
