The next few samples were paint/stencilling techniques on fabric that I had bonded to my tags with Heat'n'Bond. Some of them were strips of fabric that had been bonded just slightly overlapping each other. This created some really nice textures.
Then of course I did a little bit of shopping, Leandra had some fab new stuff for the show and of course it would have been rude not to buy a few bits'n'bobs, wouldn't it?
On Sunday, we had a bit of a family gathering to celebrate my parents Diamond Wedding Anniversary. I made arrangements for them to receive a message from the Queen which they were absolutely thrilled about.
My daughter Kelly, ordered the custom made frame to put it in so they can have it on display at home.
As it was such a beautiful day, we took the opportunity to snap a family photo in the garden as a memento of what was such a fabulous day. So here we are, four generations, my parents, Mark and I, our three children Kelly, Sarah and Alex with their husbands Jim, Chris and girlfriend Tiff. My four grandchildren,
L-R Ronnie 8, Isla 3, Seb 3 and Amillie 6 plus a bump who will be joining the family in July!!!
OK, that's me for today, I have a little doggie sitting next to me who is desperately trying to get my attention to take her out for a walk.

Wonderful samples Lin, it was great to see you demoing on Saturday and it looks like you had a very special family day yesterday too. I had a brilliant weekend with the other three quarters of our crafty quartet and am still smiling with the pleasure of it all, (as well as the shopping of course!). Ally Pally is always such a great show. Elaine x
