Feeling the need for creativity

It feels like an eternity since I last had the opportunity to have a bit of a play in my studio. Sometimes the need to be creative has to jump to the top of my list of priorities, so I've spent a lovely afternoon just playing in a new journal. I challenged myself to dig out a few older stamps to use......I guess like you, I have a lot of those and only ever seem to use the newest ones. I did manage to use a few old favourites and was surprised to find how beautifully they would work with some of the latest Hot Picks from PaperArtsy, so I used those too!!!!

Here are the results of my afternoon playtime.

I feel so much better now. Hope you have the chance to be creative this weekend too.

  7. I just had to pop over right away when I saw this on Patwits Family! What lovely pages! Your journal work is exquisite, Lin. I too long sometimes to dig out the old stamps that I've loved because it's true we do spend most of our time playing with the new ones. What a great idea to combine old and new and you do it so skillfully. I so wish I could have met with you again on Sunday, but I'm glad the day went well and I'm also glad you found some time to create for yourself, to gain joy from it and to inspire us too! xx
