I'm still very new to this stamp designing malarkey, but I can't tell you how incredibly exciting and thrilling it is to see what other people do with my stuff. I just love it when some has one of those light bulb moments and comes up with a genius idea that you know would never have entered into your head. Yesterday, I saw a blog post from the very lovely Julie Ann Lee who created some amazing work using both my new birdy stamps (now fondly known as wicked chickens) and some of Lynne Perrella's stamps. Please click here to hop on over there and take a look. Please leave her a comment too as she probably doesn't realise what a clever idea this is.
Talking of light bulb moments, I had a mini one of those yesterday. I'm working on an Altered Book which I hope to teach later in the year and I was messing around with some of my new stamps, trying to find something the right size for a small gap at the bottom of a page, when I realised that one of the little wings from ELB17 makes a cute little birds nest for the round and chubby bird with the crazy hairdo on ELB18. You do need to chop his legs off of course but that's a small price to pay for a new home!!!!
Love this Lin.... The bird is just so cute!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful idea Lin, it is a fantastic moment when you get the light bulb goes off! :-) xxx
ReplyDeleteWhen i saw the picture i thought a new bird is born. But it is a nest and not half an egg. Both is home so it is a happy bird anyway.
ReplyDeleteLove Julie Ann's constructed birds.
