All week I have been sharing extra details of some of the samples I made for the PaperArtsy blog launch. I left this one, my favourite one until last, as Leandra didn't share this because it is part of a series of class samples. I thought it would be fun to share it with you today as it could be something that you make with me in one of my classes (I will list them again at the end of this post). In the class I am teaching called "Put a bird on it" you will be shown many different samples and I will demonstrate various techniques. You will be encouraged by me, to create a collage of your own with my new stamps, stencils and paints by selecting elements of the samples that you like best. I'll be on hand to help you create a balanced piece of artwork that you will be happy to have on show in your own home.
Here's a couple of close up shots
It could be that you would like to make something a little less colourful like this sample.
But no matter what style you choose, you will have the opportunity to make a little fabric bird as an embellishment for your work.
So now the details. I will be at the following stores to teach my "Put a bird on it" class.
08/03/2015 Crafting Time
22/03/2015 The Stamp Attic
09/05/2015 Artist Trading Post
06/06/2015 Daisy's Jewels & Crafts
I will be teaching a two day Metal Embossing/Rusting Fabric class at Art Van Go on 19th & 20th May 2015.
Or if you just fancy popping along to watch a demo, you can see me at the following places.
01/03/2015 Stamperama, Stevenage Leisure Centre
07/03/2015 Colemans Craft Warehouse, Rushden
10/04/2015 Version Scrap, Paris (This is actually a three day show 10th - 12th April 2015
I'd also like to take this opportunity to thank everyone for all the blog comments both here and on the PaperArtsy blog, comments on Facebook, emails and Tweets. I was a tad overwhelmed on launch night but I truly appreciate each and every message, it makes all the hard work worthwhile.
Hope to see you at a class or demo.
