A playday

Today was fun, even if it was freezing cold in my studio first thing this morning. I decided today would be a relaxing day, making something with an idea that's been swimming around in my head for a few weeks now.

I had some of those giant cotton reels left over from a previous project and although I have used them before in this way, I haven't used them with the chipboard shapes (Eclecta range - PaperArtsy) that match my stamps. I love things that are really versatile and try to use a product in as many different ways as I can so although none of my techniques used here are new, the addition of the half cotton reel, really changes things up.

Here's a few close ups for you.

I will take it with me to Ally Pally next week, so if you would like a close up look, I will be with Mark and Leandra on the PaperArtsy stand on Saturday only. The colours in real life are much better than these pics show, it was such a wet and dreary day today, photographs were never going to be fantastic.

  3. WOW looks fabulous, pity I'm not going to get to see it IRL though!!

Just love how your flowers don't look like flowers, they always have a bit of something different in them.

Great use of the cotton reel too.

You're not on your own, been dark, wet and gloomy here today too, but nothing like a good make to cheer us all up!!!
