Busy, busy, busy

I'm feeling like my feet really have not touched the ground since getting back from CHA. Straight away, it was the Stevenage show, now Karen and I are in full swing preparing kits at the Artsycrafts kit factory (love that name, Karen thought of it!!!) It's now only six sleeps until younger daughter Sarah's baby shower (just under 5 weeks until her baby is due), followed straight away by Stitches which is the UK trade show and grandson Ronnie's 5th birthday. I really cannot believe he's five already! And then only eleven sleeps to day one of our Artsycrafts event with Tim Holtz!!! In between all of that Karen and I are running the shop and I know this is going to sound stupid but all I'm worried about is when am I going to find time to get my nails done........as you can see, they don't really need it do they??? So I really just wanted to let you guys know that it may be a bit quiet on here for a while as the usual "to do" list urgently needs my attention but in the meantime, I thought I would leave you with a studio update. The roof is now completely watertight, the ceiling has been insulated and the inside ceiling now in place. It will soon have it's proper light fittings instead of the ones that Mark borrowed from my exhibition stands!!!

I'm sooooo excited, Mark will start painting the inside soon and I get to decide what storage units to go for.....any suggestions?

OK, that's me, I've got a Cadbury's Double Decker sitting on my desk shouting"EAT ME!"

  9. Your studio is coming right along. I have a query for Mark. What kind of a mechanics is he having on his roof or how is the roof sliding going to work for his part of the building.

Have fun at the baby shower.

  12. Getting my nails done tomorrow - mine look just like yours - just a glittery flaked pink version. Know what you mean about fitting your nails in - and it seems when you're actually free the nail salon is always fully booked... Hope you can make time for a bit of a pamper in between the rushing. During a manicure you have to sit still - so it is good for mind, body and soul. Enjoying the new Shellac stuff - allows you to whizz off without "drying"...Stay sane and take each moment as it comes.

  13. I agree...Ikea! Such practical stuff and relatively easy to put together. We just got some cool Liatorp stuff which, although we are using it in our lounge, I've also seen used in someone's craft studio to great effect.
