I'm finally getting to grips with my jet lag.....yee hah as my grandaughter Millie would say.....she's in love with Jessie from Toy Story!!!! Coming back from LA and throwing yourself straight into a show is not a wise move but I love the show at Stevenage and I love going to CHA so there was no choice for me, I had to do both.
A huge thank you to all you guys that stopped by to see me at Stevenage, it's always great to show you what I've been up to lately and talking about all the new products that we have coming following my little buying trip. Thank you also to the lovely, lovely people who gave me gifts, you know who you are and I'm truly touched, so thank you muchly.
Also nice to meet so many Artsycrafters....you guys are really excited.......I think Leandra and I should have some valium at the ready and I really must remember to warn Tim what he's let himself in for......you are funny!!!
Anyways, I promised a few people that I would post some of the things that I demoed at Stevenage. I kept forgetting to take pictures and although I do have a few, they are all quite samey. In reality, they were different colours but these are all looking very green. I know that I love green but I promise you, some of these were blueish and also orangey.
I was spraying some greyboard with Rangers Colorwash and Perfect Pearl mists. I used a variety of Paperarsty and Studio 490 stamps for the backgrounds. Tissue tape was coloured with alcohol ink and wiped back for a softer coloured look. The first sample has some Paperartsy flowers stamped on Gold Nugget metal from Ten Seconds Studio and the background metal is Dark Chocolate, put through Tim Holtz brickwork embossing folder but it also has some Crafty Notions gilding flakes on it......really liking this look. I attended a retailer day at Crafty Notions with Sarah Lawrence last year where she showed this technique on cardstock and I immediately wondered how well it would work on metal......it works a dream.....I love it!!!
This one has a crown from one of the new Ten Second Studio moulds. These are in stock in the shop and will hopefully be up on the website in the next day or so.
Gorgeous samples. Like the gilded bricks a lot. Hope you will treat yourself and sleep well.
