WOYWW

Good morning WOYWWers and also a good morning to anyone else who has stopped by for a little look see. It's a different desk this week, this is one of the desks in my classroom above the shop. If I'm making an inky/painty/messy project, I quite often work here as I really don't want to get paint on all my beady stuff and as many of you know, I am a bit of a slap it on type of girl, so nothing is ever clean!!!
Anyways....what's on that desk I hear you thinking? Well, actually there are a few things in progress. The lovely watercolour bookmarks of Venice that I showed you last week are now destined for a completely different background than I first planned. I've been playing around with some corrugated cardboard and yep, you guessed it, I'm in love again!!! I painted up a couple of black frames, ripped the cardboard stuff to almost shreds then painted it to within an inch of it's life. LOVING the effect, I just need to mount to the bookmarks on some black card and it will be pretty much finished....watch this space!!!
Also on the desk is a little project that I am hoping to finish before I go to The Craft Barn at the weekend. It's a little treasure chest that I am covering with black metal. I would like it to sit on my demo desk for the weekend to showcase some of my metal techniques. It will also contain some real treasure!!!!! At the moment I am waiting for the filler to dry before I can start working with it.
A close up of one of the side panels that just came out of my Big Shot.

Well that's it for me today.....I'll try and get round as many desks as I can throughout the day if I get any quiet spells in the shop. If you would like to join in the fun click here to Julia's blog where all will be explained.
Take care, Lin x

I hear we'll be crafting neighbours, as we will be in the same room (if it does not change... again ... lol).
That's a good thing for me as I NEED to brush up my metal non-skills and ask you a few things.
    So see you on Saturday
